The Dokuz Eylül University Information Technologies Research and Application Center was established by the Regulation published in the Official Gazette No. 26306 on October 1, 2026.

Since its establishment, the center has served under the directorship of Prof. Dr. Recep Alp KUT and Prof. Dr. Yalçın ÇEBİ, and since 2023, it has continued its activities under the directorship of Assoc. Dr. Kökten Ulaş BİRANT and the board of directors.

Established to host collaborative work between different departments of the university and commercial institutions based on information technologies, the center has hosted academic studies of various companies such as Ericsson, Siemens, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Sun Tekstil, and Nucleo ARGE, in addition to communication activities aimed at project development within the university.
