Accessibility Statement

The Dokuz Eylül University Information Technologies Research and Application Center is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are constantly improving the user experience for everyone and implementing relevant accessibility standards.

Compatibility

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of compliance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The Information Technology Department is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially compliant means that some parts of the content do not fully meet the accessibility standard.

WCAG 2.2 Improvements

This website implements the following WCAG 2.2 Level AA achievement criteria:

  • Focus is Not Hidden (Minimum): Focused elements are not completely hidden by other content.
  • Drag Gestures: All functions that use drag can be performed with a single pointer without actually dragging.
  • Target Size (Minimum): Interactive elements have sufficient target sizes for easier interaction.
  • Accessible Authentication: Authentication processes are not based solely on cognitive function tests.
